Welcome to Tombstone High School! In 2006, Tombstone High moved from the historic downtown campus to our new facility on the edge of Tombstone. Our new facility is built in a modern style that maximizes functionality and student safety. This facility serves students throughout the San Pedro Valley of Cochise County. Our students reside in Tombstone, Huachuca City, Whetstone, Sierra Vista, Hereford, Palominas, Fort Huachuca, Bisbee, St. David, and all areas in between. Although the site of the school changed, our dedication to top quality education has not wavered. Since 1925, Tombstone High has been recognized by the North Central Association-AdvancEd as a continually accredited school. Our faculty, staff, and administration are committed to providing students with challenging and relevant educational experiences that will prepare them for life after high school.
We hope you enjoy your visit to our website and check back often, as we are continuously updating with new and pertinent information.
A personal philosophy of education is enhanced by a variety of influences. I believe that all students can learn, and it is the school’s obligation to provide the teaching so students can reach their maximum potential. Education is a people business. Being an educational leader is not just about numbers, it is about the students, parents, staff, and community that make up a district. An educational philosophy is how one decides to complete tasks and should be focused on what the system values, in this case, the students. It is vital for the administrative team to base decisions on what is best for the student, first and foremost. Schools are here for the students. Whatever a student requires to be successful should be the primary concern for all educators. By taking the needs of the students into account and involving the staff and community in the discussion concerning the school district, it is possible to achieve a community school system.
